TCA celebrates the Year of the Rooster with great gusto

Monday, February 13, 2017

Tai Chi Australia was once again an integral part of the City of Melbourne’s Chinese New Year celebrations, which took place from 27/1/2017 until 12/2/2017.

The Chinese lunar year was officially celebrated on 28/1/2017. It is the year of the rooster.

From Chinese New Year’s Eve, TCA gave demonstrations and classes every day at various times in Tai Chi, Health Qigong and Wushu in a variety of locations across Melbourne Central District, suburbs and country areas. These ranged from the Square and Main Stage, Chinatown, Federation Square, to Queensbridge Square, South Bank. We joined the Haileybury Festival, Keysborough and the Melbourne City Football Club at AAMI Park. We travelled to the Wildlife Park, Ballarat. All sessions were enthusiastically attended. Participants included Tai Chi, Health Qigong and Wushu instructors, students and the general public.

TCA wishes everyone a happy and healthy 2017, the Year of the Rooster and looks forward to being a part of it again in 2018.
