Our Instructors

Tai Chi Australia instructors

We are very fortunate and proud to have the most professional, fully-accredited and experienced team of instructors in Melbourne, Regional Victoria and Tasmania - a claim that can not be matched by any other Tai Chi school.

Our Instructors' Training is Ongoing

Our instructors not only conduct classes but also take every opportunity to increase their own knowledge and skills, and improve their own performance. The success of the school can be largely attributed to their commitment and to the advanced training they receive through regular Instructor Training with Master Han Jin Song, ongoing opportunities to train at the Beijing Sport University, and at our Summer Schools conducted by Professors Men and Zhang from Beijing Sport University.

Such training enhances the overall substance and quality of TCA classes for the benefit of our students and the school.

National Sporting Coach Qualified

All our instructors have attended the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) Courses conducted by the Australian Coaching Council through the Australian Kungfu (Wushu) Federation in conjunction with the Martial Arts Industry Association. As such, they are all National Sporting Coaches registered with the Australian Sports Commission.

To fulfill the accreditation criteria, each instructor must hold a current First Aid Certificate, participate in risk management, sports psychology and sports medicine training, teach a minimum of 100 hours per year and undergo ongoing professional education of not less than 100 hours per year. Our instructors are totally committed to their students' health and well being.

Fully Insured

While all our instructors maintain a duty of care to each and every one of our students, accidents can happen. That is why we have Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance to cover all our Accredited Instructors and provide you will total peace of mind.

quote border

'In Tai Chi Chuan, the ability to cultivate oneself physically and spiritually, but not to defend oneself, is civil accomplishment. The ability to defend oneself but not to cultivate oneself is martial accomplishment. The ability to teach people the art of self-cultivation and self-defence, both cultivation and application, is complete civil and martial Tai Chi.'
